T (formerly Korea Telecom, Korean: 한국통신, NYSE: KTC) is a prominent South Korean integrated wired/wireless telecommunication service provider. KT has an information & communications business, and has the largest portion of the South Korean local telephone and high-speed Internet business. Among its products is the wireless broadband service WiBro. In 2006 KT was able to purchase the internet domain kt.com making it´s logo "Internet compatible" and thus becoming part of the VB.com Internet Hall of Fame of global companies owning a two letter domain name.[1] KT is listed at number 397 on the Fortune 500 List.[2] KT successfully merged with KTF, a mobile telecommunications company in mid-2009.
